Renaturalization of an abandoned military zone with the creation of social housing
This project ensures the basic housing requirements, three housing typologies and some public areas.
To organize all the elements within the required area, we used those proposed by Kevin Lynch in 'The Image of the City'.
We take into account the natural and urban EDGES that delimit the plot. We then divide the plot into 4 zones or DISTRICTS thanks to the hierarchy of AXES (The main axis, the transversal axis and the secondary axis). Leaving all the public places, such as the school and the shopping center, in the NODES. The houses are going to be the MILESTONES; in this way, we ensure a hierarchy.
To accommodate the largest number of types of residents, we propose 3 different typologies of houses (40m2, 60m2 and 80m2), which are organized in height from smallest to largest area. In this way, the largest houses are on the upper floors.
