A bioclimatic elevated viewing platform that affects the surrounding environment

The Aura of San Jose is a significant structure that combines the symbolic history of the city and the technological innovation of the region. The powerful structure will become an iconic landmark rooted in people’s consciousness. A timeless design approach provides a lasting and strong visual presence. Its radical geometry deploys a varying range of kinetic perceptions during day, night and distance for the passerby, the car driver or upon landing. It could also create future popular city events such as full moon or sun alignments within its shape.

The Aura is placed at the northwest corner of the park in accordance with the city’s Riverside Corridor Policy and also prevents glare on the river. Its aim is to become a social gathering place for daytime and nighttime activities. Elevators inside lead to a viewing platform with windows that allow for stunning views of the city and mountains. A bar-restaurant at the base is linked to the green zone as a first catalyst for further economic development. However, the park remains almost intact as a sign of environmental respect and a way of maintaining public green areas to promote social mixing. All in all, The Aura will bring a big dose of urban self-esteem.
