New Sports Center "La Raqueta" - Playa Dorada Leisure Complex in Noja

The building is designed to be inserted into the urban fabric with subtle volumes and aesthetics, while being attractive and suggestive, with the aim of trying to bring silent order to the heterogeneous diversity that exists around it.

The new building proposes, with its outer perimeter, a compact volume and an almost transparent image of what happens inside. This is achieved through a folded façade made of microperforated material that encourages one to look inside and sense the sports landscape and its activities. The roof, in a single plane of translucent material, guarantees diffuse natural lighting throughout the year and controls the incidence of sunlight to avoid possible reflections.

The level of the track platform creates a directional North-South sports landscape, where the different structural spans allow for future changes in the location of the tracks, giving the system great organizational flexibility. Likewise, a circulation system separates the different sports tracks that have associated mobile stands for watching the competitions or resting.
