Reorganization of open spaces and uses in the neighborhood closest to EXPO Milano 2015

It consists of improving all the green spaces and the current facilities in the area, which is 4 km long and very busy. Today, this area is one of the largest residential areas in Milan and is used as a sleeping quarter. So people cannot enjoy the spaces.

This green spine will be able to collect and relate the different types of uses, allowing us to introduce sports, public and social facilities: revaluing the neighbourhood and giving it a new and softer character.

Alongside the masterplan we find circular points or zones that ‘stitch’ the space. These are responsible for giving a specific use to the area, since there are different spaces with various diameters and uses. The bands are used as common elements of the masterplan, allowing us to bring dynamism and new uses to the spine, such as urban gardens, etc.
